Short Profile
Media Systems Architecture, IT Integration & Technology Governance
Strategic Role
Program Lead | Mega Projects (Media & IT Scope)
Period
18 Month
Responsibility
Strategic responsibility for the media-technical and IT scope of a permanent interactive installation. The objective was to design and govern a complex media and interaction system capable of continuous public operation, while ensuring full compliance with the operational, security, and reliability requirements of a security-critical infrastructure environment. Strategic leadership for the media technology and IT workstream within a large-scale, multi-stakeholder project.
Responsibility for media-technical infrastructure and IT architecture within the defined project scope
Translation of experience concepts into robust, permanently operable media and system architectures
Governance of media systems, interactive technologies, networks, and data flows
Integration of media and IT systems into existing large-scale infrastructure environments
Definition of technical interfaces, system dependencies, and operational handover requirements
Stakeholder management with infrastructure operators, IT departments, and international technology partners
Extended international on-site leadership (18+ months back and forth) across implementation, commissioning, and stabilization
Structured handover to operations and post-opening optimization of media and IT systems
Value Contribution
Successful delivery of a permanent, media-intensive installation within a national mega project
Stable daily operation under continuous public use
Seamless integration into security-critical infrastructure and IT environments
Long-term operational reliability through disciplined technology governance
Strong reference for national and international large-scale projects with complex media and IT scopes
Project Description
The Garden of Harmony is a permanent interactive installation combining complex media systems, sensor-based interaction, and real-time content orchestration. A central interaction element is a sensor-enabled physical guide, functioning as a personal interface throughout the installation. Visitor interactions are tracked in real time and connected to large-format projection systems, enabling context-sensitive content delivery. The core challenge was to translate this complex interaction and media concept into a secure, robust, and continuously operable media and IT system, integrated into the framework of a national mega infrastructure project. This required strong experience strategy, disciplined technology governance, and close coordination with infrastructure and operations stakeholders.
