Short Profile
Experience Architecture, Technology Translation & International Scalability
Strategic Role
Strategic Advisor | Experience & Technology Strategy
Period
12 Month
Responsibility
Strategic advisory role for the conception and technology-driven museum experience within a globally recognized cultural institution. The objective was to create & translate creative and curatorial concepts into robust, permanently operable experience systems that could be replicated and adapted across international locations, while maintaining consistent quality, reliability, and visitor experience standards. Strategic responsibility at the interface between experience concept, technology architecture, and implementation governance within a multi-location museum context.
Translation of creative and curatorial concepts into technically valid, long-term operable experience architectures
Assessment and selection of technologies with regard to stability, scalability, and operational reliability
Development of exhibit logic, interaction models, and system designs
Coordination of multiple vendors and disciplines for international rollout scenarios
Advisory support for the adaptation and scaling of the museum concept from Zurich to Doha
Alignment of experience ambition with daily operational requirements of a permanent museum environment
Design of interactive, media-rich museum installations with high visitor throughput
Governance of complex system interactions across sensors, mechanical systems, projection, and control logic
Emphasis on robustness, maintainability, and intuitive usability in a permanent public environment
Structuring experience systems for international replication without loss of quality or stability
Value Contribution
Successful international adaptation of the museum concept across two major global locations
Delivery of robust, low-maintenance exhibits suitable for continuous daily operation
Preservation of experience quality while adapting to different spatial, cultural, and operational contexts
Long-term asset value through scalable experience and system design
Strong reference for international museum, cultural, and large-scale public projects
Project Description
The FIFA Museum presents football history through a series of technologically integrated experience stations, combining physical interaction with digital media. Installations include sensor-based interaction systems, light barriers, projection mapping, mechanical elements, and complex control logic. The central challenge lay in translating this technological and experiential complexity into permanently functioning, intuitive exhibits capable of sustaining daily museum operations. Following the successful implementation in Zurich, the concept was adapted and extended for Doha, demonstrating the viability of a scalable, internationally transferable experience architecture.
