[about me]

I am a Chief Innovation Officer and founder with more than 15 years of experience in sport, entertainment, and experiential technology.

My work has always been driven by curiosity — by the desire to understand how technology can shape experiences, connect people, and create meaningful value for brands and audiences.

After founding and leading several companies — AV Active, iXtenda, and iVP — and completing two successful exits, I have built a deep understanding of how creative ideas, business strategy, and technology intersect.

My professional strength lies in translating complex technologies into clear concepts, developing scalable innovation strategies, and guiding teams and organizations through transformation. Today, as Chief Innovation Officer – Sport & Entertainment at epicto GmbH, I focus on AI-driven solutions, fan engagement, and immersive brand experiences. I work closely with sports clubs, racing series, and entertainment brands worldwide to help them use technology not as a showcase, but as a bridge between story, data, and emotion. Through my own company, Brostian Management & Consulting GmbH (BMC), I also act as an advisor and angel investor, supporting young founders and guiding companies through creative and organizational challenges — including through my certification in business mediation. Across all roles, one principle remains the same: innovation only matters when it’s understood, shared, and experienced.

[av active gmbh]

From Technical Execution to Creative Leadership

Founded in 2008 and incorporated as a GmbH in 2015, AV Active was the first company I built — a venture that marked the starting point of my entrepreneurial journey. What began as a one-man operation soon grew into an established and respected name in event technology and media production, known for its precision, creativity, and reliability across Europe.

In its early years, AV Active focused on transforming how computers and media technologies could shape the staging of shows, corporate events, museum installations, and brand experiences. We explored and mastered emerging tools such as Pandoras Box, Ventuz, Watchout, and VVVV, long before “media servers” became a standard in live and interactive environments. Over time, the company evolved from operating and supplying these systems to designing, integrating, and engineering complex multi-system setups. Our expertise soon extended to unique and highly customized projects — from corporate stage productions to interactive installations and even experimental interfaces, such as a fully controllable forklift performance, where data was transmitted directly from a media server to the vehicle’s steering system. This combination of technical depth and creative freedom established AV Active as one of the leading boutique providers in show integration and media technology across Europe. As the company grew — in both revenue and team size — my role shifted from hands-on operation to business development, concept creation, and technological exploration. I became increasingly focused on identifying how new technologies could enhance client value and redefine the boundaries of live communication. By the late 2010s, AV Active had become a well-recognized partner for corporate, show, museum, and fixed-installation projects, supported by a strong network of professionals and specialists that continues to exist today. In early 2019, I received the first acquisition offer for the company, which I initially declined. Later that same year, after more than a decade of steady growth, I decided to accept a new offer and sell the company — not out of necessity, but from the desire to return to what I do best: conceptual thinking and the exploration of emerging technologies. I remained as interim managing director during the transition phase and used that period to prepare the foundation for my next venture — iXtenda GmbH, founded with two of my former developers. The intention was: to build a smaller, highly specialized company focused on real-time 3D technologies and interactive experiences. And then, as fate would have it, COVID-19 accelerated exactly that transformation. iXtenda grew rapidly and became even larger than AV Active had ever been — marking the next chapter of an ongoing journey driven by innovation, curiosity, and creative technology.

Innovation, Experience & Real-Time Applications

Founded in late 2019 following the sale of AV Active GmbH, iXtenda was born from a clear vision: to develop cutting-edge real-time 3D applications for museums, exhibitions, and brand environments. The company quickly became a bridge between creative storytelling, technical innovation, and spatial design.

As founder and managing director, I focused on concept development, client consulting, and business development, while shaping the overall direction and growth of the company. Starting with a small core team of two experienced Unity developers from my previous company, iXtenda grew steadily to a team of 15 specialists across software engineering, design, architecture, and operations. My role combined strategic leadership with a strong hands-on approach — from creative concept and project planning to presentations at conferences and client workshops. I continuously expanded my technical understanding to guide the company’s evolution while ensuring that the team remained the creative and operational heart of our projects. Beyond business and creative leadership, I also maintained a clear technical vision and a deep understanding of emerging technologies and their practical applications. Driven by both professional and personal curiosity, I explored how new technologies — from real-time rendering and sensor-based systems to generative AI and interactive design tools — could create tangible value within client projects. This mindset helped position iXtenda as a forward-thinking partner for institutions and brands looking to merge innovation with meaningful experiences. Over time, iXtenda expanded its focus to include 3D real-time rendering, sensor-based interaction, and generative AI technologies — integrating these into immersive experiences for museums, entertainment spaces, and brand installations. From its foundation until 2024, the company grew sustainably, both in scale and profitability. In January 2025, I made the personal decision to sell the company, ensuring that all employees were seamlessly integrated into the successor organization — a transition designed with continuity and team stability in mind.

[iVP - intelligent Virtual Platform]

From Industrial Visualization to Digital Twin & Cloud Computing

Originally conceived as an internal product during the early phase of iXtenda GmbH, iVP evolved into an independent company in 2022, built on a growing demand for virtual visualization and planning tools in sales and customer engagement.

Triggered by the drastic transformation in how industrial clients approached sales meetings and factory planning processes (during COVID19), iVP was founded to address a clear gap: enabling companies to visualize, configure, and simulate complex production environments in an accessible and adaptable way. Driven by my personal enthusiasm for mechanical and plant engineering, I collaborated with key industry partners such as HOMAG and Porsche Consulting to develop a program capable of planning, visualizing, and simulating factory layouts. The initial prototype, tested by around 50 users, quickly evolved into a fully integrated component within the engineering and sales cycles of major machinery manufacturers. The platform’s evolution led to deep integration with CAD, CAM, PLM and ERP systems, allowing users to visualize machinery, layout configurations, and production flow in real time — extending to material flow simulations and cloud-based collaboration. With that growth came new challenges: implementing Azure cloud infrastructures, enterprise-level encryption, data security, user management, and automated deployment of large data sets. These elements transformed iVP from a visualization tool into a standalone licensed software platform, today used by several of the world’s leading industrial and consulting firms and serving a mid-four-digit user base worldwide. Since 2025, I have remained a shareholder and owner of iVP GmbH, while stepping back from operational responsibilities. The company now operates as an independent entity with its own management and organizational structure, continuing to expand its technology base and industry footprint. Over time, I developed a comprehensive understanding of how Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms are transforming the business landscape — not only as a technological foundation but as a key enabler of digital efficiency and scalability. I’ve seen how integrations with platforms like Salesforce, diverse enterprise databases, and internal data management systems are essential to achieving true data continuity and driving operational efficiency across departments and processes. The continuous development of the core platform now includes high-fidelity machine visualization, integration of Virtual and Augmented Reality for sales and service, and a fully cloud-based rendering engine that enables real-time visualization of entire factories — even from a lightweight laptop during client meetings. This journey — from concept to enterprise platform — has deeply connected me to process-driven innovation and the integration of software within complex corporate IT landscapes. The insights gained continue to inform my current work, helping clients leverage the rapidly converging fields of technology, data, and experience to create tangible value.

Investing in People, Guiding Through Change

When I founded Brostian Management & Consulting GmbH (BMC) in 2022, I had two clear intentions in mind. The first was to share my entrepreneurial experience — gained through founding, scaling, and selling multiple companies — with a new generation of entrepreneurs. Over the years, I’ve learned how valuable it can be to have someone at your side who has navigated the full cycle of building and transitioning a business.

Through BMC, I now support and invest as an angel investor and advisor, helping young founders turn ideas into sustainable ventures. The exchange with these founders is something I deeply value — every conversation, every project, and every presentation reminds me how much inspiration and learning flow both ways. The second motivation grew from experience as well — from seeing firsthand how conflict, miscommunication, and tension can arise within teams and partnerships, regardless of company size or success. I’ve been through those moments myself, and I know how transformative it can be when a neutral perspective helps to bring clarity and balance back into a team. That’s why I decided to complete a certification in business mediation and to offer neutral, structured conflict resolution for companies, management teams, and shareholders. My role is not to judge, but to listen, to translate, and to guide people toward a shared understanding — because I’ve learned that the worst thing a team can do is stop talking. BMC therefore represents two sides of the same coin: empowering new ideas and sustaining existing ones — through investment, dialogue, and trust.

Innovation, Sport & Entertainment

After building three successful companies and completing two strategic exits, I felt it was time to take a very different step. In my current role as Chief Innovation Officer – Sport & Entertainment at epicto GmbH, I bring together the experience, network, and vision developed over more than 15 years in the fields of innovation, technology, and live experience.

Based in Heidelberg, epicto is an owner-managed company with around 80 employees, operating at the intersection of technology, media, and experience design. Its mission is to continuously explore and develop emerging niche markets — many of which I’ve personally grown into over the past decade through genuine curiosity and hands-on experimentation. Unlike in my earlier ventures, where growth and agility were balanced carefully, this role provides the scale and resources to develop and implement new ideas with lasting impact. It allows me to focus on innovation strategy and forward-looking technologies, while collaborating with teams that combine technical precision and creative execution on a high professional level. A clear focus of my current work lies in AI-driven solutions — understanding how artificial intelligence can assist us, how it can support companies, and how we can translate it into tangible applications that create real value. Through years of work within the entertainment industry, I have also developed a deep personal connection to professional sports. Today, I’m grateful to work closely with top clubs, racing series, and global brands, building long-term partnerships rooted in trust, creativity, and shared ambition. At the same time, maintaining strong ties with artists, promoters, and event venues keeps me close to the pulse of live entertainment and its continuous evolution. This new chapter is not an endpoint — it’s a continuation. The journey of innovation never truly ends. Every day is an opportunity to explore what’s next, to create something new, and to make sure it connects meaningfully with the people and partners who experience it.
